At dinner sometime bring up this topic.
Just start out and say mom and dad, I have really been wanting a cool new laptop and I was thinking if I paid 300 dollars of it you would maybe buy the rest. Then list reasons why you would like a new one, like my old one is really slow and a new one would be nice because it would be faster etc.
You could offer to do extra chores like walk the dog, do the dishes, take out the trash and promise to keep your grades up.

i have the same promblrm with my parents. try to explain to them why you want a laptop. Ask your parents if they can pay for some of the laptop. and you can pay for some of the laptop to . or you could wait till christmas and get it then with the money you already have.
