You really can’t go wrong with any projector and laptop…pretty much any laptop will work with any projector.
My only recommendation would be to get a smaller projector (easy to lug around) that has at least 2000 lumens and is XGA resolution.
Keep the laptop simple too. A very basic laptop is all you need if it is mainly going to be used for PPT. Make sure the laptop has a standard VGA connector on it:
If you get a small laptop and projector they both may fit in one carry case.
Don’t forget to get a USB drive to transfer the PPT files from computer to computer if you don’t have one already.
(also make sure you buy PowerPoint for the laptop)
