Just like your laptop, if you can see an open advertised connection, and select connect.
Assuming the card is already installed….
1) Is your wireless network connection enabled? How to check…
Either
1) Start -> Right-click My Network Places -> Properties
2) Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections
Make sure the wireless connection is enabled. If it has a red X through it, right-click and choose Enable.
2) Once you make sure it is enabled, right click on the wireless connection and click View Available Wireless Networks.
If there are any wireless networks within range, they will show up. If none show up, then there aren’t any within range of your wireless card.
Someone who lives close to grandpa’s house needs a router, so you can get a connection.
